Burnham Market has a stunning new village map, courtesy of The Hoste owners, Bee and Brendan Hopkins. Created by local artist, Andrew Ruffhead and located near the Foundry Place retail barns, the map is a delightfully quirky and colourful depiction of the village and its history. Originally the inspiration of Fleur Hill – the developers behind Foundry Field – it was felt that as the jewel in north Norfolk’s crown, Burnham Market was lacking tourist information. Thanks to the generosity of The Hoste who agreed to sponsor the map, Andrew Ruffhead’s charming illustration is now installed and will almost certainly become an attraction in its own right.
The owner of The Hoste, Brendan Hopkins, comments, “Commissioned by Fleur Developments, The Hoste hotels and spa were delighted to sponsor this charming interpretation of Burnham Market village by local artist, Andrew Ruffhead. A lot of thought was given to how much should be included such as roads, footpaths, churches, shops, delicatessens and hostelries. The map has been designed to help visitors find their way around and make the most of all there is to see in this beautiful, historic village”.
